The library version of the Oscars happened on Monday at a huge library conference called ALA (American Library Association). There is an exclusive brunch during the conference where various committees announce their book awards. There are tons of categories like the Theodore Geisl Award (Dr. Seuss, as we like to call him), the Coretta Scott King Awards (named after Dr. Martin Luther King's daughter), and tons of awards for teen books like the Prinz Award, Morris Award, and many, many more!
