The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins is another great middle school read. This dystopian book unfolds the arena life of the tribute, Katniss Everdeen. Now with four books: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay, The Ballad of the Songbirds and the Snakes, Ms. Collins takes us on a tour to the arena where young boys and girls fight to the death for entertainment. Watch as the lives decline and only a few people are left. Read how Katniss copes from many different attacks from the capital and saves her fellow tributes. This is a great read that I hope you will enjoy.
