How to Make Actually Good Macaroons



Cherry Almond Macaroon Recipe


Macaroon Cookies
3 egg whites ( @ room temp.)
1/4 Cup granulated sugar (50g)
2 Cups powdered sugar (200g)
1 Cup Almond Flour (120g)
Pinch of salt
1/5 tsp Cream of tartar 

Raspberry Butter Cream Filling 
* I doubled the butter and powdered sugar recipe to make the consistency better
1/2 cup unsalted butter (120g)
3/4 cup powdered sugar (150g)
3 tablespoons cherry juice


You can adjust the recipe to make any flavor combination you want by doing any of the following:
1. Add flavored tea to the dry mixture of the macaroons
2. Add different or omit food coloring
3. Add an extract(like mint or vanilla) to the eggs in the meringue 
4. Add different juices to the butter cream
5. Put jam or small fresh fruit between the cookies as filling.
