Percy Jackson: A Visual Comparison

It's time for Percy Jackson Camp here at the Cromaine Library! The original Percy Jackson and the Olympians series debuted with The Lightning Thief back in 2005 and has released many spin-off titles since, the most recent of which, The Sun and the Star, was released just this past month. A new TV series for Disney+ is currently in the works, however this won't be the son of Poseidon's first time on the screen. Back in 2010, 20th Century Fox released a film adaptation of The Lightning Thief starring Logan Lerman. This adaptation, as well as its 2013 companion, were extremely poorly received by fans of the books, as the film made several changes rendering it very unfaithful to the book itself. Check out some of the visual differences between Logan Lerman's portrayal and the original description of Percy in the books, as illustrated by teen volunteer Isabella U.
